As we wait for the launch of the new expansion Cataclysm in the World of Warcraft, I have decided to start publishing some of the Cataclysm posts a little early. These posts will be labeled as Cataclysm posts and collected in a separate Cataclysm Rogue Guide on the main menu. When Cataclysm is launched the 4.0.1 rogue guide will be removed but until then you will have access to information for both patch 4.0.1/4.03 and Cataclysm through the main menu.
Over the next few weeks we will also be continuing to add any relevant information for rogues in patch 4.0.3 that pops up as well as moving old out of date blog posts to the Wrath of the Lich King section. Any 4.01 and 4.03 information on the blog will remain in their respective patch categories as a part of the blog and not moved to the WotLTK section. However they will not be included in the cataclysm guide as new Level 85 posts will be created instead.

I just want to take the time out to discuss (yet again) with readers the importance of taking infomration with a pinch of salt at this stage in the game.
ReplyDeleteWe do our best to collate as much information as possible and refrain from using too many guesstimates and up in the air opinions. Of course, no mater how hard we try not all information used will be valid all the time. As thinsg change (which they will do constantly), the infomration on this blog will also change and if it hasn't updated yet we encourage you to let us know what's amiss.
However, what we do not encourage is rude behaviour and arrogance on this blog (or on twitter for that matter). So please bear that in mind when discussing areas that need changing.
We are more than happy to discuss reasons for why we have done what we have done and also to debate aspects of the blog and talk about changes. This does not mean we have to resort to rude behaviour and arrogance.
Readers are also reminded (also yet again), that I have never claimed to be a leading authority on rogues and theorycrafting. All of the information gathered on this blog has been collated through various resources including the good people at Elitist Jerks who have done all the hard work for us in most areas. I always do my best to answer all questions but I really don't have all the answers and many of you do accept this but still I find some people accusing me of pretending to be something I'm not.
I collect information and try to make it easier for people to access, I also endeavour to find things out if I don't know them to help people with questions about thier rogue and I'm human, I'm not perfect.
As per a recent twitter conversion I will also shortly be adding further comments to the more recent Cataclysm entries to further clarify what's going on with them.
But remember:
NOTHING IS FINAL. EVERYTHING WILL CHANGE.
For some reason some of the readers out there just dont understand this basic concept =o
Also because this is a bit like a little rant now, I also want to take a moment to sincerely thank all of those readers out there who do respect what this blog is all about and have not only been patient with it but also ofered constructive help when it was needed in a polite manner.

ReplyDeleteIndeed, i have been playing as combat rogue in 4 yrs and have farmed around different sites with so called guides but I neded up more confused after the readings then before. Until i found your site, excellent work so keep it up!
